ABOUT THE FOUNDER

I grew up playing video games. In fact, I played so much that my brother called it “nofriendo”. But that never stopped me, in fact, I've built a career around them.

When my son fell in love with his Nintendo Switch, it opened up a whole new connection between us — hours of strategizing, exploring, laughing together. It was a great!

But outside of home, he was struggling to find his group.

So one day I had an idea. To start small after-school program focused on using video games as a way to bring kids together. To get them socializing. (But really as a sly way to help my son make friends.)

And it worked!

But that wasn’t all. The games broke down barriers in a way I didn't expect — kids who struggled to connect were opening up, being themselves, finding common ground almost instantly.

That's when I knew there was something more here. Something I needed to give to all the kids who struggle making friends, who struggle socially.

Which is why I have created Video Game Club.

My goal is simple: to give every kid a safe, welcoming space where they can make real friends, build real social skills, and discover that gaming is even better when you're not playing alone!
